I was thinking about how Evil Dead 2 pretty much made Bruce Campbell a Cult Hero and it got me to thinking about Reggie and which Phantasm film made him a Cult Hero, And I thought about it for a while and in my opinion Reggie really became a hero with Phantasm 2, That was when we really got to see him in action, His role in the original was small compared to the other films, So what do you guys think? In your opinion which film made the Regman a Cult Hero?

I'd say Phantasm II. That really showed his tough side, his ability to fight, his heroism, & gave birth to another cult hero: the street sweeper.
Reg truly kicked ass in Phantasm II.

The first time I saw Reg was 1979 in PHANTASM. I knew he had star power right off the bat. Of course he shined in PII he had too, hes all they had. He pulled the whole flick off single handed.....But to me Id say P1 1979, made Reg what he is today, a true cult hero.

I think during Phantasm II. That's when we first saw most of his action and what he can do.

I say P2. His role in P1 was smaller than the sequels, we really didn't get to see him kick ass.

Yeah, I'm definitely saying P2. P2 was the big "cult film" of the bunch and the one where Reggie (Not to mention Mike, and the villains) really got to be off-the-wall . I re-emphasize; "Come one you mutha!" CHAINSAW FIGHT!!! ....Ahhh, 80s movies....

You see, this whole thread is way off. Reggie Bannister was a cult hero long before he'd even set foot on a set or had a camera pointed in his direction. It was foreseen in the prophecy. You guys didn't know that?
