I believe that Dustin has one of these trailer films. I think he had one, for the films cell offer thingy-ma-bob. Speaking of it, I still never got mine for the letters I sent in. Hmmm...

So he sacrificed an original trailer for people to send letters to Anchor Bay? Man, that's dedication.

I'm bidding on it, but I really don't expect to win it. With 2d and 20m left, anything can happen. Not sure how high I'm willing to go on it.

It's up to $42. I don't think I'm willing to spend $50 on something I can never really watch.

It went for $42. I am curious to see what Dustin paid for his.

Yeah I saw that on there and thought about bidding on it but realized I couldn't ever really watch it anyways.

I've seen super 8 versions I wonder how long these are? Most super 8 versions are heavily cut. Does anyone own these and can tell if they are cut ?>

Dear Omen, Yes, I once owned the British Super-8 of "Phantasm." It was a beautiful print, gorgeous color and sound. Total running length was only 20 minutes or so. For instance, when Mike runs to Morningside to investigate, they cut from his entry into the basement to his walking down the marble hallways (no casket showroom scene). Just basic scenes that enhanced the plot were kept. It was still great fun to watch.

I owned lots of 8mms back in the 80's they were cheap when VHS became popular. I also owed a 8mm film camera those were very fun to have. Thanks for the reply PostMortem! You can get a nice real life cinema feel with the right 8mm projector.

So true, Omen. Some of my best childhood memories were watching "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein" on the bare wall, projected by an 8mm projector...
