That's cool. It will end up being another thing I bid on and lose. So is life.

I was outbid. Someone has a proxy set up, not playing that game.

I was outbid. Someone has a proxy set up, not playing that game. I hate when people pull that crap. It takes the fun out of Ebay. I rarely bid on things unless it's something really obscure that no one would bid on. When I am on Ebay, I usually look for "Buy it now" auctions. I remember in 2004 when I got outbid on one of those Michael Jackson red & black Thriller leather jackets because of someone that pulled that crap. I was pissed.

Proxy bids and reserves are causing Ebay to lose business. They have recently dropped in revenue. It also might be that the fad is wearing out. Either way, I've taken a break. I hate proxy's, really ruins the experience.

That's probably why I like shoping at Amazon better. You can find items for cheap, and don't have to worry about someone out-bidding you. One could still like Ebay to "shop victoriously", but then the proxies mess up the fun.

Yep, I order most of my stuff off of Amazon and Deep Discount anymore.

Yeah, and they actually give you the price they actually want for the items too. Ebay users make you pay a reserve price and you don't even know what it is. I remember I tried to bid on I think it was a Phantasm sphere, and they didn't list a price. But after I bid on it, it said I didn't make the reserve price, making me bid higher. I just said "Screw it, why can't you just tell me how much you want?"

I think I ordered my Sphere from Ebay, can't recall. If someone has a reserve, they must not need to move the item. Did you ever get a Sphere?

No, I never did. But I'm still on the lookout.
Plus, it all depends whether or not I have money at the time I find one.

There's about 4 for $30 on ebay, with Buy it Now option. Good deal. Cheaper than what I paid.

Yeah, but I don't have the Region 2 dvd player. I really don't watch much on the TV but if I do, I use my PS2. I watch mostly on my computer, and it probably doesn't play R2.
