I haven't had this happen to me, really, too often, but, here it goes!!
So after reading some posts that I could get the new Phantasm IV at best buy. I decided to hit it up after work last Saturday.
Anyway, it was there, I was happy, the price was pretty sweet!! But this is what my post is really about...
So I'm walking through the store holding Phantasm Oblivion, and this guy in his late 40's maybe (kinda looked a younger Morgan Freeman), says, "hey, what you got there?" I'm like, "oh this? it's Phantasm IV" him- "man, I saw the original movie so many times when I was younger, and it scared the SH*T out of me!, I didn't know they made that many, but the first one is still the best one!!" me- "I like them all"...
Hahaha, then he walked away. Usually I get creeped out by situations like that, but after it happened I thought "man, these Movies really did have an impact" Like, why would someone I don't know come up to me just to say Phantasm rules?! It totally made my day and put a smile on my face, and as well as The Tall Man's haha!
That's pretty much it. :^p

Cool story Generator. Sadly, I live in a town full of mindless idiots, so I have slim to no chance of meeting someone like that. I stopped shopping at Best Buy, sadly.
playdrums,
Nothing personal, but the one word responses are getting tiresome. Hardly any of your post are more than one sentence. If you have nothing other to say than "Correct, Indeed or Cool" why bother?

Generator... as soon as the man walked out of the store, he stopped at the sidewalk, wearing a strange half smile, then promptly morphed into the Tall Man! You didn't see this happen, but the Tall Man was obviously very pleased with your support. AND... he's watching you... Playdrums, we loved hearing from you. I've been meaning to echo OG's thoughts on this. Please share more details, thoughts, feelings. The more, the better. And thank you for being here. I've been wanting to here more about what it was like when you met Angus in Kentucky?

I guess that what I was trying to say, Playdrums, is that add some quips and stuff in with your postings. It helps to keep the conversation going! I will second what Postmortem said, thanks for joining, we are glad to have you here. Now... see if you can morph out of that "Dwarf state" into a graver..... Boooooy!

Playdrums (good screen name), your post count is in early development.
Phantasm fans love mystery, so don't take the bait and keep those short quips coming ;D.

Speak for yourself, Vitamin... We can never have enough good Angus stories here. (Drumming fingers in feverish anticipation.)

My Oblivion journey isn't as cool as yours, Generator. I walked into a Best Buy & saw it for $7. Bought it, the Halloween 30th Annversary set(I still think I'm the only person in the world who has bought it), & the Divimax single disc of Dawn of the Dead (1978) solely for the cover. Then I went to Michaels(the craft store not Michael Baldwin's house sadly) with my girlfriend & her mother.

Sounds like you had an encounter with a minion.
Little known fact: under their masks, all gravers look like younger versions of Morgan Freeman. Which is why none of them ever remove their masks (Don can't afford Morgan's fee). True story.
