I know what I would want. I'd go for it. Borrow some money from some mobsters and triple the budget. This needs to be at the theatres. Besides Don should be able to get an extension, he is part Italian. Just have a fool proof escape plan if it fails. ;D
Clever enough writers should be able to title it something else (I think Phantasm 5 as a title would be the "kiss of death" in a cinematic release), create a fresh perspective, but still be able to marginally link it to some of the previous movies for us Phanatics.

The movie needs to hit theatres. I, too, would go for it.

I'd prefer a theatrical release so I can finally see a Phantasm philm on the big screen!
If it's straight to video, I wouldn't really mind since I just want this movie to happen.

It doesn't matter to me... I just want it! A theatrical release would be nice, but so would a DVD release. They're equal to me.

Given the tenor of the world and America especially, we need something scarier to watch than the current administration.

I voted for the "silver screen". If marketed correctly it should make money easily.

Well how about if you link the series to another one? In JASON's 10th film (Jason X appears on the screen in red), he sliced, stabbed, and cut his way into outer space... I'n THE TALL MAN's 5th film (The dark letters PHANTASM V emerge from a blinding white BG) we'll see why Jason had to leave... *Cut to a bad*ss montage of the devastated new Red Planet, feral dwarves, silver spheres, gravers in gas masks, and standing on the top of a melted Everest is The Tall Man!* Taking theatres - Tomorrow...

Briggs, I'm a little confused on your post. Did you just suggest that PHANTASM take a tip from the F13 series?
Have you been drinking heavily this morning, my good friend?

a theatrical release would be interesting, but I voted for DVD. Just as long as we get to see Reggie's ponytail back in action;)

Not that I have anything against drinking heavily in the morning (only after you've done all your chores! ;D), but I guess I have my sights a little higher. I don't want to tamper with Phantasm with other series, be it Evil Dead or F13, which are successful and liked by many. That was an interesting transition Briggs. I always liked part 10. Anything to do with space is good in my book. I'm just wondering if Anchor Bay has the balls (pun intended) to take a gamble. They are part of something bigger (subsidiary), so do they have the moolah ($$$$) for a major release. Is Starz affiliated with something bigger? Anyone have a clue as far as any theatrical releases Anchor Bay or it's affiliates were part of? I'd look into it (via the internet), but I have a life. (Just kidding, that was a joke...he,he,he,he,he,he.....). It's my day off, I'm not staying inside.

It would be next to impossible for a theatrical release based on the fact that the previous two installments were direct to video. If it was somehow released to theaters, they'd have to definitely drop the 5 (or V) and aim for a more expanded audience who may not had seen earlier entries.

Phantasm V isn't the official title. Matter of fact, it's not even the working title. It's just what we, the phans, are calling it.
