i was looking at that babylon 5 complete universe set too. i would need to get a region free dvd/blu ray player tho. im really considering it cuz im getting tired of missing out on these much cooler collections, such as the phantasm sphere set. i never got into babylon 5 while it was on, but ive been reading about it and it sounds very interesting. ive been a bit bored with whats on tv lately and im in the mood for a good, well-written epic story. i was considering deep space 9, but its d**n expensive and they havent even come out with a shelf space-friendly complete series set yet like tng. this j. michael straczynski sounds like a clever guy. id like to read some of his script books where he talks about how he created the show. i guess they're out of print now. has anyone read any of them or the babylon 5 series bible?

"Babylon 5" is my #1 favorite TV series! I've slowly been downloaded my very favorite episodes into my computer: ""Comes the Inquisitor," "Z'ha'dum" (spelling?), "Sleeping in Light." The beauty of this series was that the episodes weren't really stand alone affairs. The whole five years was an amazing story arc, with little quirks or nods suddenly becoming huge important elements to the drama. The characters really developed (and changed) over time. It was beautiful, heartrending, tragic, terrifying, thought-provoking. JMS is an amazing writer (saw him speak at one of the B5 conventions where he started hinting at things to come). I can't watch Bruce Boxleitner now in anything (loved Tron Legacy) without thinking of Sheridan and my heart swelling. lollol Some of the books for this series were very good too--especially a set of books detailing Londo's time as Emperor on Centauri and his enslavement of sorts to the Drakh. Happy viewing!

I really recommend the books, the Psi Corps Series are really good and the Technomage ones are too. We Live for the One, we die for the One!
Ah-ha! One of my favourite TV shows too.
Just found an animated movie I've been searching for for years. I never knew the title of it, which made the search a bit tricky. The Time Masters. A French animated film from 1982. Really freaky. If you love weird sci fi I recommend this completely.

We stand between the darkness and the light... We are gray. In Valen's name... (I think it goes something like that.) The mental picture that always sticks with me is that final shot of Delenn watching the sunrise, reaching with sadness and longing towards the light (and the memory of Sheridan). <<Sniff>> One story they never expanded upon that I would have loved to have seen played out on screen or in prose, would be what happened to David Sheridan on his 16th birthday when he opened Londo's "gift." Obviously, it was bad--you can just see the hatred in John Sheridan's eyes at the last supper when Vir toasts Londo's memory. Obviously, David either avoided or was saved from this "gift," and is now a healthy (vengeful?) Ranger. But there is an entire backstory there just waiting to come to light! I loved the Psi Corps novels about Bester too. Walter Koenig once scared the crap out of me (shouting at me) on a supermarket line in the days while he was filming B5. I had an alternate reality ST:TNG pin on my vest (a cool episode with Worf jumping through possible quantum realities) and was lost in my own thoughts. Koenig was peering at it, loudly exclaiming, "What is THAT you're wearing? " After jumping out of my skin, I realized it was "Chekhov" (more like Bester at that moment) with me on line, and I hastily tried to explain. His eyes were glinting with mirth. He has an evil sense of humor! lollol We're so off topic (Phantasm) now, but it's fun!

Walter Koenig is an amazing actor, I can't believe you've met him. I met Bruce Boxleitner at a book signing once and that was amazing. The Psi Corp storylines are the greatest and Bester is such an evil character. You're right about the present from Londo storyline, who knows what happened. Did you ever read the comic "In Valen's Name" which followed the ry Sinclair story as he went back in time? That was very good.
Slightly back on topic. I watched where the wild things are and that got me all depressed. Avoid it if you don't want a massive downer. Good film though
